AKTON Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Senior Business Support Officer. 3 - 6 months contract.

MAIN PURPOSE:
To lead the provision of administration support to senior managers and colleagues in the teams so as to deliver operational excellence across all of its activities, ensuring the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective service and to manage the Business support officers / assistants.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Regularly liaise with senior managers to understand the administrative requirement of the service, responding to changing needs, so as to deliver operational excellence.
2. Ensure that work is allocated appropriately across the Business Support staff so the administrative requirements of the service are met in a timely and accurate manner
3. Manage and support the Business Support officers / assistants
4. Develop the learning and skills of the business support staff
5. Responsible for the quality of work produced by the business support staff
6. Responsible for being creative in designing spreadsheets and supporting all Early Intervention Services with all their IT queries / problems and contribute to service development by providing information and ideas for future services
7. Maintenance of manual and electronic records and systems ensuring that accurate and appropriate information is available to Managers when required.
8. Responsible for the accurate input of data onto CareFirst including scanning via the document management tool CareStore. Assist in the extraction and reporting of information from both computerised and manual systems.
9. Responsible for ensuring that stationary stocks are maintained
10. Raise purchase orders for goods and services on the Council's IT system 'Oracle iProc' on

SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Good communications and Customer Service skills
* The ability to manage and supervise staff
* High level of IT literacy with the ability to maintain computerised information systems including data input. Including a degree of proficiency in Care First
