I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for someone to deliver a support and resettlement service to Vulnerable Council Tenants.
Job Role
Manage a caseload of vulnerable tenants, carrying out home visits and making additional calls as a situation merits. Investigate, liaise and identify appropriate services, recording and providing monitoring information on support outcomes. Reviewing cases as necessary.
Facilitate repairs via appropriate staff, advising residents on care, maintenance and fire safety. Provide Housing Benefit and welfare advice, assist with income maximisation, financial awareness, budgeting and supporting rent recovery.
Work with Housing Officers, Income Maximisation Officers, Neighbourhoods Team and internal council staff to support vulnerable residents.
Assist in the provision of housing management services and support to vulnerable residents, their families and carers.
Engage with contractors to ensure repairs, building maintenance and planned works are carried out
Supply information, advice and evidence necessary to complete MPs and Councillors complaints and enquiries.
Deal with people at all levels confidently, sensitively and diplomatically.
