Akton Recruitment are looking for a Youth Offending Team Probation Worker to join the Achieving for Children, working in partnership with Windsor and Maidenhead Council.
As the YOT Probation Link Worker you will be working with Prevention, Early Intervention and Statutory clients. Through a comprehensive written assessment of the young person and their family you will be identifying an individualised intervention plan, which will help and support them to reduce the risks of further anti-social or offending behaviour. When required you will be completing pre-sentence reports to assist the court in sentencing a young person. You will be completing direct work, either one to one or in a group setting, with young people and their families. Within your capacity of the role you will be supporting young people and their families to have access to a wide range of services through signposting to local and national services. You will be taking the lead in our partnership working with The National Probation Service, including overseeing cases transitioning from Children to Adult Services, attending team meetings within each service and providing updates, and developing our evidence based practice within the YOT and those cases transitioning.
Through this role you will be contributing to our services broader aims to develop, plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate interventions to reduce first time entrants and re-offending.
This is a part-time contract-based role, working 2 days a week paying a rate of £30-£33 per hour depending on experience. The initial contract for this role is 3 months with a view to extend, and it is essential any applicants must be either a qualified Probation Officer or Social Worker, who has experience of working in either the probation or children social care setting.
