Work Planner / Helpdesk

Akton Recruitment has an opening for a Help Desk operator within the Local Authority in Middlesbrough


Purpose of the Post: To directly support the operational teams ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To provide direct operational support to the front line service, including work instructions, technical programmes & relevant management information.

2. To be responsible for supporting the provision of labour, plant and materials, including training & development, recruitment, sickness & attendance and all associated employment framework support.

3. To assist in the operational health & safety & performance data including key performance indicators and business objectives, developing, analysing, evaluating & monitoring data as appropriate.

4. To support & assist identifying business development & initiatives including, income generation, employee skills needs & efficiencies in expenditure.

5. To operationally contribute & support the service through surveys, training & development, assessment & verification, customer engagement, valuations & appraisals.

6. To support the business to ensure that the service maintains contractual compliance with relevant trade bodies & associations including, relevant audit & verification bodies, both internal & external.

7. To assist in planning all work, including work in progress. This is to include the provision of information and statistics in report form to facilitate the optimum deployment of resources to achieve successful service delivery.


8. To ensure all labour, attendance and staffing related documentation is processed, recorded & monitored in accordance with Council policy & systems. This is to include the provision of information, statistics & reports as required to the corporate centre and management.

9. To assist in the preparation of tenders, quotations, estimates, TUPE data & staffing related information.

10. Supervision of technical support staff as required.
