Technical Project Manager- Haringey

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Project Manager to join Haringey Council's Digital Services team.

The Technology section within Digital Services is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Council's technical infrastructure. This includes networking, security, server & desktops, and Microsoft 365. In addition, the Technology section is responsible for the delivery of technical infrastructure transformation change across the Council.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects involved in the delivery of a greenfield SharePoint infrastructure and migration from a legacy file system to SharePoint Online. Elements such as training, stakeholder engagement, data classification and communication strategy are critical in delivering this project and you will be able to demonstrate your experience in this area.

Technical Experience / Skills / Knowledge

* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 with advanced implementation, support and design skills and experience with SharePoint online

* Previous project management experience of migrating on-premise file shares to SharePoint online

* Proven track record of delivering Office 365 features with defined business benefits.

* Demonstrates an understanding of current developments in the application of Information Systems and is able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists - technical or otherwise.

* Proficient in understanding automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording.

* Proficient in understanding methods and techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects. Examples: product / work breakdown structures, baselining, critical path analysis, earned value, resource analysis, conflict resolution, planning tools, quality management techniques, risk & issue management methods.

* Proficient in understanding the identification, assessment and management of project risks, which could result in time or cost overruns, or failure to deliver products which are fit for purpose.

* Proficient in methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases, requests for proposal (RFP), invitations to tender (ITT) and statements of requirements / work both orally and in writing.

* Proficient in techniques which help in modelling and understanding a business and its operation (e.g. business environment analysis, functional business models, process modelling, stakeholder analysis, use cases, user stories, Scrum, process mapping, benefits mapping).
