Akton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Technical Auditor to join our client based in London. The Technical Auditor will be responsible for all Technical Planned Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Works and Minor Works auditing for their allocated sites and be responsible for helping deliver other technical works within the area they are located within their skill set.

The Technical Auditor role is part of our front-line customer facing team with the responsibility of dealing high end maintenance in line with company policy and provide an active communication channel on work being carried out with parties involved. The role will be responsible for delivering the auditing function on PPM MM RW, which carry financial penalties if the SLA are not met.

Our Internal auditors deal with operating issues crucial to the smooth running of the organisation - you'll need initiative to succeed
As an internal auditor, you'll provide an independent guarantee that an organisation's risk management, governance and control processes are operating effectively.
You'll work within the contract to monitor and evaluate how well risks are being managed, how business is running and if internal processes are working.
Auditing also includes a consulting service, advising management on how to improve our systems and processes.
The scope and nature of audits can vary significantly, but the main priority of your work is to ensure any issues that affect the survival and prosperity of the business are dealt with.

Responsibilities
The work of internal auditors is varied and your range of tasks can include:
* attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes
* travelling to different sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information
* researching and assessing how well risk management processes are working and recording the results using software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
* providing ad hoc advice and guidance to managers and staff at all levels, sometimes by delivering courses and training sessions
* performing risk assessments on key business activities and using this information to guide what should be covered in audits
* anticipating emerging issues through research and interviews and deciding how best to deal with them
* providing support and guidance to management on how to handle new opportunities
* agreeing recommendations with relevant staff members to make improvements to operations and helping to secure backing for them in meetings
* preparing reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the relevant people
* assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management of any issues that need addressing
* managing a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.

Qualifications or Required Experience:
Electrical installation certification or mechanical qualification
Auditor qualification
Experience within a similar role/environment is essential
Good Knowledge of M&E equipment
Full Clean Driving Licence
Computer literate with good skills in word , excel , email , internet etc
Able to work on own initiative
Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc
