Our production facilities are constantly being improved to provide a more diverse range of products using modern machinery which give us the opportunity to produce a myriad of standard as well a bespoke components. The latest addition to our facility is a 9 metre press facility.

We endeavour to keep up to date with technology and continually work on a programme of improvement. Our 114,00 square foot production facility houses some of the best equipment under one roof to allow this and includes:

12 rolling lines
7 press brakes ranging from 1m to 9m
2 CNC guillotines
9m x 3m precision laser cutting machine for flat bed up to 20mm
3m x 1.5m precison laser cutting machine for flat bed work up to 25mm
Ficep Excalibur CNC drill line
CNC Amada punch press
Fabrication, Assembly & Painting
In addition we also have in excess of 8 acres of land for storage and future expansion.

Fabricators/welders, fabrication duties involve fabrication of structural components to production drawings, welding to company weld procedures, visual inspection of finished items.

The Role:

Welders, Duties involve welding of fabricated assemblies to company weld procedures, visual inspection of finished items.

We have invested heavily in new on torch extraction systems and Respiratory equipment, this creates a safe clean working environment for the workers.

The Principal Duties of the position are:

  • Operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner at all times
  • Take reasonable steps to fulfill your duty of care to yourself and other employees at all times
  • Inform a manager if not trained on allocated piece of work equipment
  • Follow issued Safe System of Work for relevant task or work equipment
  • Use any knowledge/skills from training properly in the workplace
  • Wear the prescribed Personal Protective Equipment at all times in accordance with the Safe System of Work
  • Inspect equipment thoroughly on a daily basis and record results before starting work
  • Report any significant defects or potential hazards to the Fabrication Shop Manager, Responsible Welding Co-Ordinator or Works Manager
  • Maintain working area in a clean and tidy condition at all times Follow BW Industries standard production practices
  • Clock on to the correct job number before commencing and upon completing job
  • Make sure the correct size, grade and sub-grade material has been allocated to the job
  • Confirm welding/tack-welding parameters are in accordance with Weld Procedure Specification Implement BW Industries Quality procedure and checks
  • Determine production drawings are legible and the revision matches the Acknowledgement//Drawing Register, reporting any problems to Management or Quality Inspector
  • Check the items to be welded are correct to the production drawings
  • Undertake 100% visual inspection to all welds
  • Ensure all welded items are recorded on the Quality Sheet Forward manufactured products to next production/delivery phase
  • Stack safely any fabricated assemblies, not to be welded at this time
  • Mark any incomplete items or sub-assemblies
  • Group/pack items in safe and secure manner
  • Attach delivery labels for transport if items are complete
  • Arrange for collection of materials by informing loading staff
