Akton Recruitment are looking for a Service Development Officer - Older Persons & Physical Disabilities Team, to join the local authority based in Kingston upon Thames.
The Council is focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for its communities. To do this the Council needs employees who thrive in an agile and networked organisation and who can support continuous improvement within a constructive organisational culture.
This role leads the development and implementation of commissioning strategies, improvement programmes, service redesign and project management for Older people and Physical Disabilities services. It is responsible for managing individual commissioning activity based on specific needs analysis and understanding of market and needs opportunities to achieve the best outcomes for Adults and ensure sustainable delivery across the service.

? Expert knowledge of client groups and care markets
? Experience of effective service development, redesign and improvement methodologies
? Expert knowledge of commissioning, category management and supplier relationship management, focusing on flexible end to end delivery across designated portfolio of services client groups and care markets
? Experience analysing data and developing cost benefit models
? Demonstrate excellence in partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders, multi-disciplinary teams, agencies and providers.
? Understanding and awareness of key legislation for Public Sector social care, including health, housing and social care
This is a full-time contract-based role, working Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 paying a rate of £20 per hour. The initial contract for this role is 3 months with a view to extend. If you think you're right for this role, get in touch now!
