Akton Recruitment are looking for a SEND Reforms and Autism Project Manager to join the local authority in Bromley. Responsibilities include:
1. To provide robust management oversight on specific service projects, together with providing project management support to more complex projects, within the SEND Reforms Programme ensuring high quality delivery which adheres to project timescales, voids duplication and is delivered within identified budgets.
2. To provide day to day project management leadership to the Bromley All age Autism Partnership Board (BAAB), monitoring project milestones and ensuring actions are kept to time and budget, reporting progress to the SEND Governance Board.
3. To liaise effectively with senior leaders from across schools, Education, Health and Social Care and external agencies to drive forward the BAAB agenda providing a high level of support and challenge where required.
4. To set out expected actions, deadlines and accountability for action and priority leads to achieve high levels of performance against agreed actions within the BAAB Action Plan
5. To help to develop the Autism Strategy for Adults in Bromley in partnership with key stakeholders across the borough .
6. To organise focus groups, feedback groups and training with families and people with Autism.
7. Liaising with the BAAB Chair, oversee and manage the Autism Board including preparing papers ,analyse and present data and draw conclusions about the current and future need of the project.
Essential Knowledge:
* Understanding of the challenges facing all people with SEND especially adults with Autism
* Knowledge of legal policies and procedures affecting people with SEND especially Autism (particularly relating to Adults)
* Knowledge of current issues facing people with SEND especially Autism (in particular adults)
* Good knowledge of the Bromley Local Area
* Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes.
* An understanding and commitment to the Council's policies on Equal Opportunities
* Knowledge of project management systems
This is a full-time contract based role working Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00. The initial contract for this role is on a monthly rolling basis, and the rate for this role is negotiable. If you think this role is right for you, get in touch now!
