Rota Coordinator

Akton Recruitment are looking for a Rota Coordinator to join East Midlands Housing - Care and Support based in Chesterfield.
As Rota Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management and operation of the electronic rota system and care planning processes for our Kettering Extra Care Scheme (Wrights Court). You will ensure the provision of personalised care and support services to customers and care income is maximised through the allocation of resources that balances our customer needs with efficient and effective staff rostering and management of care planning processes.
Key Accountabilities:
* Produce a regular rota to allocate staff to clients that meets contract requirements, ensuring an effective use of resources, including matching staff skills, experiences, knowledge and interests with client requirements.
* Manage long and short notice absences and arrange cover on the rota to make sure that there is continuity of service (i.e. annual leave, sickness absence) .
* Manage variations in planned service delivery, recording variations accurately.
* Keep clients and staff teams informed of any variations in service delivery.
* Manage the Relief/Bank staff list, including liaising with Relief/Bank staff about their availability and the allocation of shifts.
This is a full-time contract-based role working Monday - Friday, 09:00 -17:00, paying a rate of £13 per hour. This is initially on a 3 month contract with a view to extend.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified to NVQ 2 Administration or equivalent
* Demonstrable comprehensive experience of using IT, including Microsoft Office based applications, electronic rostering systems, manipulation of information and spreadsheet packages to produce a range of documents
* Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy and literacy skills
* Demonstrable experience in a varied administrative role
* Demonstrable track record in delivering excellent customer service in a care setting
* Ability to draft concise and accurate written information
* Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing new data management systems
* Highly organised and able to prioritise own workload in a pressured environment
* Willingness and ability to travel as required
