Akton Recruitment has an exciting opportunity come available in the Dudley area a Residential Childcare Worker

Main Roles
* Be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood
* Develop and sustain effective working relationships with the local community, colleagues, and other agencies to promote collaborative working and partnerships.
* Contribute to the effective and efficient use of the physical and financial resources.
* Contribute to the protection of children from abuse; evaluate the risk of abuse, failure to protect and harm to self and other people and ensure that all matters regarding the care and management of young people are reported in line with departmental policy and procedure.
* Contribute to the effective physical, social, and emotional environment for group care which provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which children and their families can be offered the support, care, and guidance they need

Qualifications
* UK Driving license (with use of own vehicle)
(ONE OF THE BELOW QUALIFICATIONS)
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Care.
* Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce: Social Care Pathway.
* Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care-Children and Young People.
* Level 3 Caring for Children and Young People. (approx. 2001)
* *Alternatively, a Degree in Social work would also qualify them for the RCCW post.
Shifts
* Each day will be different, and the focus of your role is to provide daily support in our residential services. It's definitely not a normal 9-5, you can workdays, nights, and flexible shifts too. Talking of 'dream' jobs, some of our shifts are sleep-ins! For weekend and sleep in shifts, you will gain pay enhancements on top of your basic salary.
