Regeneration Programme Manager- Sutton

Role Profile
? You will have a proven track record of capital delivery programme management and
managing complex partnership in town centre locations.
? The role will include overseeing consultancy teams undertaking work on the site
evaluation, feasibility studies, due diligence and securing planning permission. The
postholder will deliver these activities within budget working a collaborative working style
to work with co-producers or other third party agencies.
? Furthermore, you will have a strong understanding of the public procurement process,
contracts and tendering.
? Will be dealing with complex problems and issues within the boundaries of technical or
professional skill and knowledge.
? You will be responsible for preparing briefs, preparing presentations, managing the return
of funding monitoring & evaluation reports across a number of programmes and
organisation of boards/officer groups.

The role will be based in the Growth and Regeneration Team and part of the newly set up
Development, Growth & Regeneration Directorate at Sutton Council. The Directorate will lead on
? Sutton's economic recovery and jobs after lockdown
? key regeneration projects, including the London Cancer Hub and Sutton town centre
? strategic transport improvements for the borough's residents
? the borough's response to the climate emergency.
These projects are an integral part of 'Ambitious for Sutton', which is the Council's plan to shape
local services until 2023. The role is expected to be focussed on Sutton Town centre projects and
programmes and provide the team with additional programme management resources to initiate
and set up new projects.
The team is currently managing circa £25m capital and revenue programmes with significant
further council investment expected over the coming years.
