PRODUCTION MANAGER - Aerospace
North Wales

£50,000 - £60,000 (Depending on experience)

THE ROLE

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to evolve a world class Production Organisation in support of our Design Organisation developing a capability and results in the areas of safety, product performance and quality, schedule and cost. Delivery of this capability will need intelligent leadership, team engagement, cultural change along with setting and maintaining of the standard.

The Production Manager is responsible for the manufacture, assembly and inspection / testing of the products from either the in house or customer's Design Organisation Approval. The Production Manager and their staff will have ownership of the Production Organisation Exposition.

The Production Manager will be a key part of the senior leadership team reporting to the General Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Production Manager will maintain compliance to AS9100 and EASA Part 21 G as applicable.

The Production Manager will deploy the human and technical means needed to deliver products in line with our customer's contracts including buy, make and test.

The products will be at varying technology readiness levels in aeronautic, defence, security and automotive markets.

The Production Manager will be responsible for the application of the POE to the UK CAA (or EASA) with the support of the Quality Manager.

THE FIT

The Production Manager must demonstrate good technical knowledge and experience to be able to carry out the role.

Technical knowledge and experience of leadership, lean production systems, procurement and supply chain, commercials and contracts, quality management/AS9100, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing processes and equipment, capacity planning and forecasting, facilities management, product verification, product testing and environmental testing.

To lead the production organisation we are looking for someone who can demonstrate both outstanding interpersonal and technical skills.
