Operations Manager - Construction & Building Materials

Duties & Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for management of the operations department
* Buying materials including negotiating prices
* Maintaining existing supplier relations as well forming new ones
* Raising purchase orders and reviewing received invoices
* Working closely with site teams to ensure deadlines are met
* Control of stock
* Overseeing fleet, plant and workshop team

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Construction industry-based experience (5+ years)
* Management level experience.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Relationship building and networking skills.
* Ability to deal with pressure and deadlines, excellent time management.
* Problem solving skills.
* Understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
* Excellent IT Skills, fluent with Microsoft Suite and able to adapt to other software.
* Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control.
* Have a full valid driving licence.
