Job Role
Support the Senior Landscape Architects in the delivery of projects in the Landscape Design Team.

Team worker:

Participate as a member of the clients team supporting colleagues and working collaboratively to develop the business
Work flexibly to support delivery across the service
Take ownership for own personal development
Play a key part in the project and studio management

Customer service:

Liaise professionally with current and potential clients
Work collaboratively with other professionals within and also with third party consultants/contractors/suppliers
Provide an efficient and business-like point of contact. This includes responding to internal and external enquiries and (via face-to-face, telephone, email)

Business delivery:

Pro-actively seek to improve the Landscape studios design processes
Contribute to conversations with clients over landscape design matters
Ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule
Take responsibility of allocated project work
Preparing scheme designs and specifications for the completion of projects
Prepare and present feasibility reports, and high quality design proposals to the client
Work around constraining factors such as planning legislation, building regulations, environmental impact and project budget
Prepare applications for planning
Produce BIM compliant working drawings and specifications
Choose materials to be used and the requirements for the project, based on site and environmental criteria
React and resolve issues which arise during the pre-design/design construction/post construction stages of a project
Contract Administration

Communicate effectively:

What you need to know:

Post-graduate in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
Have between 2-5 years professional experience as a Landscape Architect
Member of Landscape Institute
Good design and drawing skills
A keen interest in the environment
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals
An understanding of the relationship between people, buildings and the wider environment
Microsoft Office proficient
CAD proficient
