ICT Implementation Manager- Havering
£560/day

Control and manage discrete ICT projects using
agreed methodologies.
2. Ensure that all plans, work packages and deliverables
deliver the expected benefits.
3. Identify and manage implementation risks effectively,
ensuring timely resolution and escalation, in line with
agreed risk management standards.
4. Ensure that all ICT implementation deliverables are
managed through the correct change management
procedure.
5. Estimate and schedule ICT implementation resources
using formal project management techniques and
tools.
6. Assist on the procurement of ICT systems and supply
contract negotiations as appropriate.
7. Create and maintain formal project management
documentation for ICT implementation and report on a
consistent basis to the project board.
8. Deliver appropriate ICT solutions and services to
enable the strategic and business objectives of the
Council in accordance with defined quality criteria.
9. Provide effective leadership to the project team, taking
appropriate action where performance deviates from
agreed tolerances. This will include resource planning
of specialist or expert resources across projects.
10. Negotiate with the project board and other
stakeholders to ensure successful ICT implementation
outcomes.
11.Construct and agree the ICT implementation project
budgets, and to monitor and manage the budgets on
an ongoing basis reporting regularly (monthly, or as
otherwise required) thereon.


Person Specification

? Knowledge of best practice IT standards and methods
including project management and ICT implementation
? An understanding of Local Government.
? Awareness of information governance issues and
legislation.
? An understanding of the political context and environment.
? Project and Programme management tools, methods and
processes evidenced by professional development.

? Success in managing complex ICT project implementations.
? Successfully managed ICT implementation in a medium or
large organisation with specific experience in risk
management.
? A consistent track record as an effective team player.
? Experience of planning and reviewing the implementation of
ICT using Prince 2 methodology.
? Experience of managing customer relationships
? Demonstrable experience and/ or understanding of the
technical aspects of information and communications
system technology operations and development in a
corporate environment, including the exploitation of
emergent technologies.
? Business Process re-engineering processes and tools.
