Head of Policy, Performance and Intelligence- Rotherham
£500/day

The post holder will have responsibility for leading and managing a council wide policy, performance and intelligence function. The post holder will provide high level advice, guidance and support on corporate policy development, organisational improvement and local, regional and sub-regional partnership activity which significantly influences, either directly or indirectly, on the Council and the Borough.

They will actively contribute to and take responsibility for developing and maintaining an intelligence hub that will be responsible for delivering effective data, intelligence, monitoring, reporting and challenge to inform and enable continuous service improvement.

In addition to overseeing the Corporate Plan and the Council's compliance with the supporting Performance Management Framework, the post holder will also have responsibility for producing and/or ensuring consistency of whole Council/ Community strategies which support the management of the Council and its partners.

The post holder will identify clear objectives for corporate planning and organisational improvement in support of the direction set by the Council's Cabinet and Strategic Leadership Team, linked to service delivery/transformation priorities. This will include management of intelligence/information and risk; and developing and performance managing relevant programme/project/management action plans to ensure effective and efficient implementation and integration.

Inform and support the initiation, management, and implementation of corporate and organisational improvement initiatives, which may have a significant impact on customers, employees, services or systems/processes, ensuring effective risk management and review of subsequent outcomes.
