Global Mobility and International Tax Specialist- Royal Holloway
Global Mobility and related international tax issues have been highlighted by the Covid pandemic. Staff have been identified that have either returned to home countries during the year, or who were already living outside the UK and have also been working outside the UK.
The temporary move to online delivery of courses also raises potential international tax issues.
The purpose of this post is to work through the implications of these staff member actions in terms of personal taxation, social security, employer obligations to make deductions from salary and corporate presence in regard to global mobility. In addition, to consider digital services taxes, VAT or equivalent and any corporate presence in relation to online delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing specialist knowledge on global mobility and international tax
Preforming initial research on issues arising for a particular country so that any requested external advice is appropriately targeted
To manage purchase orders and invoices for payment in respect to services received ensuring costs are matched to original agreed quotes and charges are allocated to the correct accounts
