Financial Administration

Akton Recruitment currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Administration Officer to join the team within a Local Authority team in the Reading area.  

As Finance Administrator, you will be part of the contract administration team with specific responsibility to the IWG contract. You will work closely with Contract Performance Manager and IWG teams to ensure all administration works are scheduled and dealt with in a timely manner in accordance with the contractual requirements and key deliverables. Must be focused on customer care with a “can do” attitude, with the flexibility and adaptability to be a team member in a changing business environment.

Skills

Analytical skills are equally as important as the ability to multi-task and reprioritise when necessary with the confidence to exercise decision making skills when needed.
• Liaise with Contract Performance Manager, Facilities Managers and the IWG teams for any day to day support requirements
• Absence management of the IWG team is recorded within appropriate systems
• Liaising with appropriate parties (both internal and external) to provide necessary updates and supporting documentation when requested.
• Submission of additional works quotations
• Purchase order management
• Purchase card management
• Processing of timesheets
• Processing of work-related expenses
• Supporting the management of WIP
• Customer Invoicing – creation of invoices and debt management
• Chase appropriate party for supporting information (subcontractor & engineers reports, subcontractor & supplier invoices) if not in place & file accordingly
• Carry out general administrative duties in line with the departmental policies & procedures
