Akton recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Events Management Co-ordinator to join the team at Sutton.

Job Role: Events Management Co-ordinator
The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and be able to demonstrate the following: Essential requirements
? Obtained a degree qualification in a relevant field of risk management, event management or similar. Commensurate equivalent work-based experience may also be considered.
? Knowledge of Safety Advisory Groups and how these operate.
? Knowledge of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity legislation is beneficial but not a mandatory requirement.

The primary tasks and responsibilities for this position are:
? To lead on the review and scrutiny of event notification forms and risk assessments submitted by event organisers, requesting additional documentation, as necessary.
? To coordinate with internal services and external partners on the scrutiny of event plans and support to event organisers.
? To maintain and continually enhance the suite of information provided to event organisers on the Council's website to support their event planning.
? To promote and administer arrangements for Sutton's Safety Advisory Group to facilitate effective multi-agency event planning within the Borough.
? To support the review, development and maintenance of the Council's emergency and business continuity plans and relevant documentation, where requested.
? To assist in the collation and interpretation of information and data, such as risk assessments and business impact assessments, to support the development of corporate preparedness to respond and recover from emergencies
