Our client is a privately owned main contractor based in Surrey. It was formed in 1986 following a merger of. Today, the focus is on refurbishment and live operational sites including specialist research labs for a range of clients. We work throughout London and the South East on projects up to £7.0m in value. Our core sectors are health, education, research, heritage / listed, commercial & residential. Our works in hospitals incudes: ITU's, Emergency departments, MRI's, CT, theatres and ward refurbishments. Our reputation is for delivering exceptional projects whilst exceeding customer expectation. This is evident by the high-level of repeat business we receive from a very loyal client base. The company is financially robust with a strong balance sheet and continues to thrive through the current crisis and grow year on year.

We are currently looking for an Estimator to join their Sales team, based at their office in Surrey. You will work with the Head of Pre-Construction & Estimating and the Pre-Con Estimating and Design teams to service tender enquiries and budget quotations which have been requested from main contractors, Cost Consultants and Architects.

Working from architectural & structural drawings and specifications, you will assess material, labour and equipment required and analyse different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers. You will be required to produce quality written and informative submissions supported by internally produced design and engineering documents in a timely manner.

You should be able to read architectural and structural drawings. Previous experience in a construction related role is essential, preferably within the façade sector.

You will be expected to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. You should have strong numerical and analytical skills and be able to work in an organised and methodical manner, either independently or as part of a team.
