Electrical Engineer
£20 per hour

To carry out maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults on electrical building services, electrical switch gear, domestic and industrial installations and PAT testing.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

 Awareness of risk assessment and working safely with electronic test equipment
 Ability to follow work instructions, read/ interpret technical diagrams and report technical information as required
 Electrical fault finding & rectification skills
 City & Guilds Level III or an ONC is a minimum requirement
 17th Edition Qualified & 18th Edition Qualified
 Holds City & Guilds 2377-12 & 2377-11 PAT testing
Main Duties
Planning and organising
 Work with site supervisor to ensure that tasks are planned and delivered to client specification and agreed service and KPI requirements.
 Plan and prioritise work, complete and sign off tasks via work sheets and electronically
Operational responsibilities
 Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge of H/S and Environmental regulations
 Carry out electrical maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding
 Carry out planned ad minor project electrical works
 Provide out of hours cover where required
 Complete electrical small works and test sheets to comply with accreditation and statuary requirements
 Compliant with all safety related policies and procedures
 Establish good working relationships with other team members, provide guidance to others (e.g. apprentices)
 Willingly contribute to the overall team and company objectives, responding quickly to new directives
Health and safety
 Reads and understands the relevant generic Risk Assessment
 Completes Point of work Risk Assessment
 Ensures appropriate PPE is worn/used and is good working order
 Ensures work area is protected using appropriate barriers/signs
 Ensures full training has been received for each aspect of the job
 Ensures work area is left safe on completion of the job
 Uses appropriate access equipment where necessary
