Akton Recruitment are looking for an Early Help worker for the Violence Reduction Social Prescribing project, based with the local authority in Enfield.
This role has been developed as a part of the wider Early Help for All Strategy in response to our public health approach to reduction of serious youth violence in Enfield. Serious youth violence is a public health problem. It is a major cause of ill health and is strongly related to inequalities. Living without the fear of violence is fundamental to good health and wellbeing.
The role will use the social prescribing model to identify children and families that are at risk of or being impacted by serious youth violence.
The post holder will positively engage children and their families and provide them with early help and holistic support to their identified needs with focus on reducing their risks and predispositions to serious violence, helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
The social prescribing work of the role will be led by the Enfield Council in collaboration with the North Central London Clinical Commissioning Groups and local key stakeholders - Public Health, GPs federation, wider Early Help and commissioned services.
This is a full-time contract-based role, working Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, paying a rate of £23 per hour. The initial contract for this role is 3 months with a view to extend, it is essential applicants have experience in this role or similar and have an up to date DBS.
