Customer Service Assistant (libraries)

If so, we have an ideal opportunity for you. Akton Resourcing ltd are an established contract recruitment agency currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority. They are looking for a library assistant who will support the delivery of library and information services to ensure a high-quality service, support the delivery of activities and events, assist customers to access online information and resources and encourage use by a wide range of customers.
They are looking for someone who:
* has a love for reading and be passionate about sharing this
* has excellent communication and digital skills
* can work with a range of partners and volunteers
* can deliver a customer focused service
Additionally relevant experience in a library, open access IT or customer service environment is highly desirable. They will have experience of working as a member of a team, providing support, assistance and cover where needed. They will also be able to work independently and have basic numeracy skills or experience of financial procedures and have experience using Microsoft Office, internet and online resources.
