Akton recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Relations Assistant to join the team at the Cheshire East Council.

Job Role: Customer Relations Assistant
To support the senior officers within the team to deliver an excellent and compliant Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Customer Relations service to both external and internal customers.
The role includes interpreting and triaging communications into the team; and then processing them accordingly as required.
The role involves liaising with customers and internal services via email - therefore good literacy skills are necessary to provide a positive experience.
Knowledge of local government or previous experience working in this area would be desirable. The post holder needs to ensure that the information provided in responses is accurate and relevant; and timely.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Log and acknowledge all requests for information, subject access requests and compliments, suggestions, and complaints onto the relevant systems, and forward these to the relevant areas of the organisation for action.
2 Build relations with customers and internal services and follow up responses to ensure information provided in relation to Customer Relations, Data Protection and Freedom of Information enquiries is accurate, relevant, and delivered within statutory/policy timescales.
3 Receive and make internal and external telephone calls to follow up progress and keep customers informed where appropriate.
4 Provide basic advice and guidance to all departments in relation to Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests, and Compliments, Suggestions and Complaints.

5 Maintain the CRM and other databases for all the above types of enquiry and response.
