Akton Recruitment currently has an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience of Customer Care join a local authority team in the Cambridge area as a Customer Advisor.
Overall Purpose of the Post
To deliver and maintain a caring, efficient and welcoming customer service, responding to customer needs.
To champion the customer cause, continually challenging working practices to improve the customer experience.
To contribute enthusiastically to the overall operational effectiveness of the Council’s 24/7 Customer Service Centre
- Proven successful experience of working in a fast paced customer facing environment
- Experience of dealing with customer enquiries from a variety of contact channels including the telephone, correspondence and e-mail or social media
- Using computer databases to record and view customer information and transactions
- Working to targets in a performance driven environment
- Working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Experience of identifying urgent or emergency situations in a customer service environment and responding with the appropriate level of escalation
