We currently have an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking leader in the Energy field. They are looking for an experienced Commercial and Compliance Manager to play a leading part in the development and delivery of bespoke energy solutions across the UK.
The Engineering and Construction Department, of which this role forms an essential part of, are responsible for developing innovative projects from the initial concept stage through to the installation and commissioning of plant ready for handover to the Construction Delivery Team or a third-party client. These Projects are diverse and stretch across its UK portfolio of award winning schemes.
This role offers an opportunity to develop the Commercial Management processes and procedures to a 'best practice' standards, looking to continually review new developments and advise any changes to current practice.
Experience and Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience of working on and adding value to low carbon energy production projects
* Experience of District Energy, Energy Centres and CHP's
* Knowledge of Carbon Reduction programmes
* Degree qualified
* Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract
* Strong Contract Commercial Delivery experience
* Supports the Project Delivery Team to manage project risk and opportunities
* Good understanding of Dispute Resolution Techniques
* Demonstrates an understanding of Notices and Payment Criteria
* Manages the change process in accordance with the contract
* Demonstrates skills in the avoidance and defence of claims
* Resolving contractual and commercial problems
* Compiles effective claims as required
* Experienced in the tendering of projects and providing contractual advice
* Writes professional and accurate letters and notices
* Interrogating and improving commercial procedures
* Ensures compliance in corporate governance
* Ensures subcontracts process is administered correctly to protect the company
