Akton Recruitment currently has an exciting opportunity for an CCTV OPERATOR to Join the Housing Enforcement Team with a local Authority in London.
To be responsible for enforcing parking/traffic legislation through the monitoring of CCTV footage from across the Borough
To review recorded CCTV evidence and process those meeting strict enforcement criteria.
To upload data onto the council computerised systems accurately and speedily.
To provide information and advice as required to members of the public, other officers within the Department and in other Departments.
To organise and undertake effectively and efficiently requests for public viewings of CCTV evidence in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
To organise and undertake effectively and efficiently, administrative and technical support duties within the Department.
Responsible for providing day-to-day cover on matters in the absence of the supervising officer on matters directly relating to the duties of the post-holder and refer more complex issues for decision where early responses are required.
Responsible for training and/or assisting in the training of other staff.
Responsible for issuing Penalty Charge Notices (and any other amendments) as appropriate for the contravention of parking, loading and waiting regulations, Bus Lane, static and moving traffic contraventions when processing evidence captured with CCTV enforcement.
Responsible for ensuring all PC’s, external hard drives and encrypted memory sticks are correctly used and are in good condition.
Responsible for the transfer of information between mobile hard drives and static PC CCTV enforcement including relevant Penalty Charge Notice information to the relevant IT processing system.
Responsible for ensuring all external hard drives, encrypted flash sticks and DVD’s are held in secure conditions and to only allow authorised persons access.
To ensure all review target dates are met and PCN’s issued within the laid down timelines.
Create DVD evidence for appeals by using the evidence copies of downloaded material.
To answer all enquiries from the Processing Team and others within agreed time scales.
To use office technology as appropriate including spreadsheets and databases.
To carry out administrative duties including compiling and monitoring records, photocopying, faxing, filing, relaying messages and distribution of documents.
Responsible for maintaining accurate written records of enforcement action taken.
Responsible for providing information to the parking services staff and to do so within a defined time frame.
