Akton recruitment are looking for a Careline Officer to join the local authority in Camden.
The job-holder will provide a high quality social alarm response service to elderly, disabled and vulnerable customers in the community providing routine and emergency support on a 24/7 basis ensuring the council promotes the dignity and wellbeing of customers. Duties include:
* Install alarm and telecare equipment review use of equipment with customers regularly.
* Review customer's needs and signpost to other services if need be to maximise independence and meet changing needs.
* Respond to calls from customers, assessing risk in the nature of the call, prioritising the level of urgency and visit as necessary.
* Provide emergency assistance, first aid, personal care and safer transfer and assisting techniques to customers, liaising with emergency services, health and social care professionals, families and other agencies.
* Use keys to customer's properties with regard to security procedures and safety, including data protection in respect of alarm codes.
* Arrange follow up visits, making referrals to other agencies, informing next of kin and reporting concerns.
* Update and maintain records and participate in service monitoring processes.
* Attend case conferences, Coroners Court and police interviews.
* Provide review and signposting service to dispersed customers reviewing their living situation, ensuring information Careline holds is accurate and enabling service to be provided safely and effectively.
* Register new service users on Careline system.
* Install alarm equipment and triggers, to program and test social alarm units and telecare sensors.
* Demonstrate using equipment to Council staff, health and social care professionals and participate in training to ensure knowledge of new equipment.
This is a full-time contract-based role working, 09:00 - 17:30, Monday - Friday, with some flexi hours included. The pay rate for this role is £16-£18 per hour. The initial contract for this role is 3 months with a view to extend.
