We're looking for a suitable Assistant Team Manager to be accountable to the Team Manager for the supervision of a designated staff team working within the service.

Main Responsibilities:
1. To contribute to the development of plans relating to the modernisation of social care/OT services through a model of continuous service improvement.

2. To contribute to the development and setting of standards and priorities, promoting quality management standards and the effective implementation, and monitoring of standards, policies and procedures.

3. To encourage effective performance management and reporting back to the Team Manager on concerns relating to employee performance, illness absence, and staff behaviour that need to be addressed.

4. Ensure the supply, maintenance, and updating of thorough and relevant information detailing services available from the council and other organisations to the public in several forms and appropriate for persons with a variety of needs.

5. Deputise for the Team Manager as needed, including representing the team, service, or department on project groups, steering groups, and standing liaison or multi-agency groups as the Team Manager sees fit.

6. To stay up to date on changes to policies, procedures, and laws that influence current and future service delivery, and to share this knowledge with the rest of the team. Contribute to the planning and review of policy and practise developments within the service by gathering information about changes in law, new initiatives, and directives.

7. To improve the disabled person's independence, safety, and quality of life by implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as prevention and rehabilitation planning, equipment specification, and structural changes to the environment; developing individual support plans, strategies, and care plans; and monitoring and case management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* Educated to GCSE or equivalent (including Maths & English)
* Qualified Social worker with significant experience
* Relevant professional level qualification
