Akton Recruitment take your privacy seriously and we will only use your “Personal Information” for the purposes of providing recruitment services to you. Whilst you may not be looking to change jobs at the moment, circumstances often change. Holding your personal details allows us to contact you on an ad-hoc basis.

We will collect basic personal information including, but not limited to: name, address, email and telephone number. Akton Recruitment will be what’s known as the “Controller” of your personal information.

We need to know your basic personal information in order to provide you with recruitment services as detailed above. We will only collect personal information that we need in order to provide and oversee these services to you.

What we do with it

The personal information we hold is processed by our team in the UK. We will process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest in providing you with ongoing support as your career changes and your job requirements evolve.

For the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information may be located on servers with the European Union. Akton Recruitment will only use your personal information to provide recruitment services to you. No 3rd parties will have access to your personal information unless the law allows them to do so.

We will not send your details to a prospective employer without your express prior consent.

How long we keep it

We are required under UK tax law to retain basic personal information relating to any financial transactions, for a minimum of 6 years. Personal information that we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to be contacted and/or if you notify us that you wish to be permanently removed from our database.

We have data security protocols in place to safeguard your data. Our website may contain links to other websites and servers. We do not have any control over the content or security of these 3rd party sites, and they are not governed by this privacy policy.
