Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct programme management leadership to the Adult Social Care Transformation Programme, driving delivery of programme activities.
  • Design an ambitious programme aligned with the council's goals, focusing on reducing inequality and establishing financial sustainability.
  • Utilise your subject matter expertise to lead analysis, design, and recommendations for financial and demand modelling.
  • Lead the design and development of a preventative practice model, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches into the programme.
  • Plan and ensure service delivery within a complex and diverse service area, controlling operational activities and upholding professional standards.
  • Ensure that service delivery meets the required quality, council, professional, and legislative standards.
  • Inform integrated service development and delivery through client, partner, and stakeholder input, latest thinking, good practice, and legislative requirements.
  • Effectively implement corporate strategies within your area of responsibility to drive excellence in customer service.

Requirements:

  • Direct experience of structuring, running, and managing complex business change projects and programmes in Social Care.
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice and innovative approaches to deliver transformation in Adult Social Care.
  • Proven ability to build excellent relationships with senior managers and Members, ensuring the delivery of corporate visions and priorities while providing excellent customer service to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing a mixed and varied workload of conflicting priorities, effectively responding to the needs of all customers.
  • Proficiency in report writing and communications for diverse audiences, demonstrating numeracy and literacy skills, and applying expert knowledge.
  • Experience in handling a range of complex and contentious matters, requiring a consistently high degree of support, persuasion, and advocacy, with an awareness of major policy objectives.
  • Experience in matrix managing and coordinating employees carrying out work across a range of major functions.
